I learned to love poodles over the course of 15 years as a professional groomer. Every time they came in to my shop, I saw such intelligence, charm, intuitiveness, and sense of humor in them that it drew me in and I became determined to have one join my family. After much research I met Jeff Smith of Canzone Standard Poodles, and he eventually entrusted me with a stunning puppy I named Juniper. I hadn't planned to show poodles, however Juniper was a lovely example of the breed and with Jeff's help I embarked on the journey of learning to show her. I finished her AKC Championship in October 2021 entirely owner handled and groomed. The learning curve was steep, but the joy of doing everything myself with her runs deep and speaks to her wonderful temperament and high degree of trainability. Along the way she earned her CGC, BCAT, CA, and RN titles, as well as many OH Group placings and an OHRBIS, then in early 2022 achieved her AKC Grand Championship and NOHS Bronze Level of Achievement as well. Her final GCH point was earned on the same day she earned a perfect 100 for 1st place in her Rally class, demonstrating all the versatility and intelligence of the breed, and she finished out her show career as the #4 NOHS ranked Standard Poodle at the time of her last show.  

Juniper, GCH Canzone Fools Rush In CGC BCAT CA RN, is the foundation of Raventree Poodles. She embodies everything a poodle should be, and has taught me a deep appreciation for preservation breeding. She is fully health tested beyond CHIC standards, comes from generations of carefully health tested and titled dogs, and is the beginning of another generation of healthy, happy, versatile poodles who will bring joy to all who know them.
